Esther was a heroic woman in the Old Testament. Her name means “star,” the Hebrew rendering of Ishtar or Astarte. Esther’s protector in the story is another Jew named Mordecai. Esther and Mordecai foil a plot by an evil courtier to kill all the Jews and Esther becomes queen. The Jews prosper under her guidance. Walker says that Esther is the goddess Ishtar, but Ishtar is the Anunnaki goddess Inanna. And Walker says that Mordecai is Marduk. These names are errors, which most scholars make who haven’t read Sitchin. Marduk was the Anunnaki god of Babylon. Why would they be in a story involving heroic Jews? To quote Walker: “The Biblical book of Esther is a secularized Elamite myth of Ishtar (Esther, Inanna) and her consort Marduk (Mordecai) who sacrified the god Amon (Haman-evil courtier). Yahweh is never mentioned because the Jews of Elam worshipped Marduk, not Yahweh.” (Walker) Inanna can’t be the consort of Marduk because their patriarchs, Enlil and Enki, were continually opposed in every way possible. A marriage between them would never be condoned and no such marriage was ever recorded.
The Earth was probably the first primordial goddess. The ancients compared her to the yonic womb. They came from her and went back into her loving arms. Place names all over the world are names of the Goddess: continents like Asia, Africa and Europe; countries like Lybia, Russia, Holland, China and Scotland. The Roman historian Tacitus said that the tribes of Europe regarded Mother Earth as “the all ruling deity, to whom all else is subject and obedient.” I once had an experience in which I was in touch with the spirit of the Earth and I felt great love toward the Earth. I’m convinced that Gaia is a conscious entity, and I hate the ravages perpetrated on her by greedy multinational corporations and nations selling their resources for quick cash. But now I could not have that experience because those people are stupid, either not caring or too busy to care. And because prople are stupid, we are headed toward a totalitarian future in which the corporations rule. Just today the Trump administation refused again to send out SNAP payments, alleging that there was widespread fraud in the system. Yes, some people were collecting when they should be working. Some people were collecting from several states. Some people didn’t need it, period, end of conversation. He’s been ordered to send those SNAP payments out regardless of kinks in the system, but has he? He’s facing arrest and impeachment and forced resignation, from some of his own party, but does that stop him from being the most awesome, most incredible, out of touch president that ever served these states? And to think that most people aren’t even paying attention to this crisis! They have their noses in their phones. They aren’t aware of the totalitarian tip-toe, as David Icke calls it. Trump is talking about taking out the cartels in Venezuela, which means invading the country, seeming not to even hear the voices in the background planning to take him down.
Easter is named for the Saxon goddess Eoster, a northern form of Astarte, who is the Anunnaki goddess Inanna. Her sacred month was Eastre-monath, the moon of Eostre. She is also the same as India’s Great Mother Kali (Beowulf spoke of Eostre’s far home near the Ganges.) The Church uses the old pagan system to date Easter, which is not on the same Sunday every year. It uses the old lunar calendar. It’s on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. In the Dark Ages the Goddess’s name was given to Easter (around the seventh century).
“El” is a general Semitic word or name for a deity, and is combined in such names as “Isra-el.” Both EL and its plural ELOHIM, meaning many deities of both sexes, are the Hebrew words rendered GOD by Biblical translators. Walker says that “this was the ‘father’ Jesus addressed in Matthew 27:47-49.” I must correct her because these are not the words Jesus spoke. The Gospel of John has the correct words because John was at the crucifiction. Jesus simply said, “It is finished.” Matthew’s last words for Jesus (My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) is out of character for Jesus. Jesus freely took on the “work” of the crucifiction, and it was an accomplishment for him. While his body was in the tomb, he was given a new body and he met with various advisors and planned the next steps of his time on Earth. Elohim means both gods and goddesses, but everytime it’s translated in the Bible, it translates only to God or god. There is an interesting verse in the OT in which God meets in a council with other lesser gods, and of which he seems to be the chairman. He is scolding them for being lazy.
